AAAHHHH!!! P-day is now Wednesday!!! We didn't find out until sunday - so there was no way to tell you. the whole schedule changed for the whole MTC. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. Certain things are more scheduled, other things are less scheduled. We have gym right after dinner two days a week (ugh) and we have Service at 6:05 on mondays. We'll see how the rest of the week goes.
Ok - so now the moment you've all been waiting for - Elder Richard G. Scott spoke at the last tuesday night devotional. So here's the story: I guess one of the Elders in Seth's district, or maybe his teacher, is the son of one of the 70 who was going to speak that night, but he (the 70) got called by Elder Scott and asked to step down so he (Elder Scott) could speak, which he (the 70) gladly did. So anyways, only Seth, his companion, and one other companionship were told. But Seth asked specifically for special permission to tell me and me alone, which he did at lunch. So at the time of my last email only 5 Elders (that we know of) knew. So we arranged to get there early and sit together, which we did and we got incredible seats, not in the very front row, because the Senior Missionaries always get the front section, but the front row of the bleacher, which was perfect so we could see over everyone's heads. It was incredible! Then, before it started, a man went to the podium and told us (the audience) that we do not stand up to sing "Called to Serve", we would only stand up if - say for example one of the Apostles showed up. And he said it very casually, as if the announcement was really about the hymn. but we knew. And when Elder Scott walked in, everybody stood up. Wow! It was powerful. He gave such a talk. I don't have time to write all about it - but it was good :)
And guess who spoke at last night's devotional - Elder Dallin H. Oaks! No joke! Wow! this place is incredible
Easter was great! We sung "He is Risen" at every meeting on sunday. haha! Everyone going to Russia would say Иисуса воскрес (Eesoosa voskres = Jesus is risen) and Во истину воскрес (Bo eesteenoo boskres = Indeed He is risen) It's kind of a "marco" "polo" type thing everyone says on Easter in Russia.
Thank you so much for the package! Oh my goodness - it was great! Half the district got packages that day, so that night we all came to our room and had a "Russian squat" party (in Russia it's thought to be bad for your health (to put it mildly) to sit on concrete, so they squat). We all squatted and ate all the candy and read the letters from Mrs. Clark's class - Oh my goodness! it was the greatest! Everybody loved the letters from the kids. Thank you so much for doing that! And a special thanks to Grandma for the fruit bars!! Thank you so much! And thanks to Carrie, Michael and Tacy. Thanks to Uncle Randy - and good luck with the new job. Thank you Sara for the picture. Thanks to Sis. Jones - Tell Sis. Jones that I still play the piano, in fact one of the older districts wanted to sing the "As sisters in Zion/Army of Helaman" medley on the last sunday before they leave, and so it was perfect that I already had the sheet music. Thank you so much for everything.
So I'm just about out of time. Thank you to everyone else who has written. And thank you to every one else! haha! I love you all.
