When we got there, Sarah and her darling baby Jaime were there from Washington and Dan followed us in from Tahoe City. We all went and ate at Brandon's Diner (great place) and caught up. Joy has a great family with the best kids!
It was a good time for the cousins to catch up.
When we saw Pat she recognized us all and asked the boys about school, mission, etc. and told them to be "good boys". We visited with her several times over the couple of days we were there. We were glad that we went to see her again.
Pat is ready to go home. She is anxious for Dad to come and get here. She will be missed but she will be happy.

She was my Sunday School teacher and when she married Wilson, she asked us girls to help with the gifts, the guest book, serving the food, etc... She was so happy that day.
ReplyDeleteRight up until the minute she left Placerville, she saved Boxtops for me so that my class could win the annual competition at school :)
One of my favorite memories of Pat is that she helped so much with the quilt for my grandparents' 50th anniversary. She let my mom keep the quilt set up at her place and come whenever she had time to work on it. I know Pat did lots of stitching when no one else was able to be there. When my grandma passed away, my aunt wanted a Strayer "kid" to have the quilt and I gladly claimed it, to remember my grandma, my mom, and Pat.
