July 4th Pancake Breakfast & Flag Ceremony

Placerville Ward has a tradition.....the 4th of July Pancake Breakfast and Flag Ceremony. The High Priest Group cook.....it is always great! This year we also had fresh fruit and omelets...yum. Kitchen crew.

Breakfast is first so people can wake up, eat and then be alert for the ceremony.

Never a straight face....sleeping is occuring in the background.
We lost Greg during breakfast...so when I investigated, he had been recruited to set up the sound. I think he was born with the ability.

Mark P., in his living history garb, started the program by telling about the Mormon Battalion's role in our military history, particularly California.

Brandon played Taps for the flag raising.
