Barrett"s email, April 22nd

Me and my old companion

Me and my new companion
A letter from a missionary who just went to St Pete

The first ladybug I've seen in a year

. The toilet in my old apartment

Some thing going on on Red Spuare. We couldn't take the newbies on their first day
So the story I am referring to is when your co-worker asked about the BoM and then the missionaries gave you one and talked to you about using the pictures in the front as a way to explain it. It's a great idea and we've done it with members and even in a couple trainings with missionaries.
Concerning the transfer. Yep, I've already moved. It's strange to be in this apartment. I came to this apartment on my first split ever and on a couple more throughout, and now that I've moved in it still feels like I'm on a split. It hasn't registered yet that I live there, and will for the next 3 months. As assistants we meet with the President at least once a week, which I am very much looking forward to. I love that man. We gather all the stats for the whole mission. That's about all I know at this point (it's only been 3 days), so I'll have to tell you more as I learn more. My companion, Elder C, is from American Fork, Utah. He plays the rugby, the banjo, .... He was in my first district, and in fact trained Elder B, my MTC companion. He's a great missionary and I am looking forward to working with him.
...
On saturday my new ward had an elders quorum activity. We went and played soccer. It was so much fun. But I learned that if you haven't played soccer in over a year, you shouldn't play soccer like it was a year ago. haha. I am way sore now! The new ward is great. The meet in the central building, like my first ward, so that's cool. The weather is getting warmer and warmer. It's starting to feel like when I first got here. I love this place.
...
Well, my time is running out. It's been a good week. It sounds like yours was great as well. It's always good to hear from you. I can't believe the phone call is coming up so soon. I can't believe so much time has gone by. I can't believe I'm here in Moscow Russia. Holy Cow. Life is crazy!
Well, have a great week. Talk to you soon. Tell everybody I said hi. I love you.
Love
Elder Hamp
