Green is back!!!
Contacting in Tsaritsina Park
Our investigator took us out to lunch. Here's me and my companion with the door guy
On the right is tongue, and the left... well I'm not exactly sure what that was
Our ward mission leader is British and lives in the British Embassy. Here's the view from his back porch (which also happens to be the first porch I've been on in a year)
This is the sign on the door on the way out. You'd think they could have done a better translation at the British Embassy
Holy Cow! I'm an Uncle!!! Little Samuel looks great. Be sure to put a picture of me in his crib so he'll know me when I get back.
Concerning the plaque picture: Don't worry, I'll get another picture. Probably not this week though. There are a couple holidays this week, including the biggest russian holiday (Victory Day), so we are strongly advised to avoid the center, and not allowed to go to Red Square for the next couple days. I don't know, it's probably getting pretty late in the mission, isn't it. I'm sorry. Are the other plaques up?
Concerning Mother's Day: so we just got the announcement this week. We will be able to call and even skype on mother's day or the day after (which will match up to your mother's day), so I'm gonna try to set it up with one of the senior couples to skype on YOUR mother's day morning or night (my mother's day night or day after morning). What time do you have church? It will probably be an 8 or 9, am or pm, if that makes sense. ...
Concerning George: So I've been transferred out of the area, so I'm no longer working with him directly, but I still hear some stuff. So I guess President got way excited for asked to be in on one of their meetings with George. He's gonna get baptized on the 19th of May. Oh man, he's awesome.
Concerning the 19th of May: Well, George isn't the only one. This past week a member of the ward I was in when I first got here called us with a referral, Kiril. So we called Kiril up, we've met with him twice, he's been to Institute, English club, and church. He loves it all, and he's going to be baptized on the 19th. He's amazing. He was already thinking about baptism. At church in sunday school, the class was split up into groups and given a topic to study from the lesson on church organization, and then one member of the group gave the class a little summary of what they learned. Kiril got up to teach the class about his group's subject, "Vicarious Work for the Dead". Holy Cow! This guy is awesome!
Well, running out of time again. It sounds like things are going well back home. I love to hear it. Have a great week. Love you
Elder Hamp
