Barrett's email, November 11th

Sister Sorenson's fall decoration right as you come in the door. Hand carved with two secret compartments

We couldn't figure out why people were getting on this bus. (Put 'ад' in google translate)

While we were in Nizhny Novgorod, they opened a new and long awaited metro stop. The first on the upper side of the river. Everyone was very excited. People were riding it all day just to ride it

I wonder if Marie Osmond knows that they're using her face on a gigantic poster for a plus-size clothing store

We went and checked out an underground bunker. Here's a picture from inside.

Nice orthodox temple. We think they took over an old catholic cathedral

Business first. Next weeks email will be on Thursday. P-day is being moved for Thanksgiving.
Concerning the post office. The post office doesn't like sending anything. They wouldn't send a watch because it might be a bomb, they wouldn't send paper stuff in the same box as souvenir stuff, they wouldn't send old previously owned stuff for whatever reason, and they would only send new stuff if you still have the receipt. Don't get me started, it was a little frustrating. I think we'll be fine, though, getting it all through customs.

Thank you for the pictures. Beans is the best. And that board is awesome. Who is that it Brazil?
Amazing Race in Moscow!
Happy Birthday, Grandma!!! And congratulations to T and O.
Well, It's been quite a week.
We finished up our splits with the East Zone Leaders and came back down into Moscow. We met with President and I found out my transfer. I'm going to Podolsk! Podolsk is that little town just outside of Moscow that we went to a couple times back in my fifth transfer. Do you remember that? Well, it's a great little place and I'm pretty excited. I'll have a new companion, Elder L. I've been on a couple splits with him before. He's a great guy. L, the lady we call if we ever have any trouble with the police, lives in Podolsk. She loves me. She called to ask if there were any changes in a couple of the cities (she does legal stuff with the apartments) and Podolsk was one of the cities, so I told her everything, but saved mine for last. And sure enough she had everything and asked who will be with Elder L, and I said Elder Hamp, and there was a pause, she said What? and I said Elder Hamp, and then she went off on a rant. She was so surprised. She told me to thank the mission president. haha. She's funny.
We had the last zone conference of the transfer, North and East zones combined. It was supposed to be last thursday, but because of the protests last thursday, it got rescheduled. It went really well, probably the best one yet.
Yesterday for p-day we went to the Kremlin Armoury. It was cool. I'm still debating whether or not it was worth the price of admission, but at least now I can say I did it. There was some way cool stuff, weapons, armor, crowns, carriages, etc.
Well, it's about that time. Have a great week. Thank you for everything. I love you
Love
Elder Hamp
