| Mom and Jerry at Avila Beach |
Jerri and Bob moved to Grover Beach about four years ago and have been trying to get mom to come and visit for almost as long. Mom wanted me to go with her but with the ACES project it was difficult to schedule time away so when that and my next project came to a close, I scheduled the time. Good thing to because I had the time schedule, when the new project arrived I let the project lead know that it was already scheduled. It was such a fun trip.
Mom and I left Thursday morning and had a nice drive. We met Owen in Lodi for a few minutes which was fun. Thursday night we went to one of the two must do's my mom had on her list: the San Luis Obispo Farmers Market. Oh my, the produce was the most beautiful I have ever seen and that is not an exaggeration. Everything seems just a little bigger and fresher than anything else I have seen.
There is an alley there where everyone puts their bubble gum. They have cleaned it off once but it came back. Yuck!

The next day we fulfilled the second must do: going to Linn's Cafe for ollalieberry pie. Bob suggested ollalieberry bread pudding almondine...it was amazing! I still miss it...ha ha.
I had a cold so I napped a lot but tried to do everything with everyone. We went to see a little loofa farm: didn't know it was a gourd. One of my favorites was our afternoon at Avila Beach. I really would like to go back. It was so nice.
I am glad mom was open to going on the trip.
