It's been a good week. We met a man on a snowy street named Y****. We've
met with him a couple times and he came to church on sunday. He stayed for all
three hours and even when I had to go play the piano for third hour he stayed
and when I came out after church he was talking with members and exchanging
phone numbers and stuff. It was beautiful.
The stake christmas party is coming up, so we have to travel up to moscow
and practice. We're singing the same songs we sung last year. It's going to be
pretty exciting. And stake conference is next week.
Holy cow! A had a baby!! I forgot about that for a while there. That's
fantastic. He's a good looking little guy.
And Sister C is in Russia! That's great. If that's her podezd,
she's gotta have a pretty nice flat. The other day at district meeting we were
looking at eachothers pictures and Sister P saw the picture of the
Cs and freaked out a bit because she knew Sister C in the
MTC. She said one of her last memories of the MTC was looking down the hall and
seeing Sister C skipping or something in her big russian
jacket.haha
Concerning the letter to president, he responded to my weekly email and
said that he will call me to make sure he understands the situation. I'm hoping
he will call tonight. The date on the email was today. I will probably try and
see if we can't keep the date as it is (may 2) and encourage him to email you as
soon as possible. He also said he would be glad to do the endorsement.
Concerning skype. So this is what I was imagining. I was imagining
something more along the lines of K with her laptop, you with yours, and
Ca with hers all being in the same house, where ever is most convenient, and
each calling their respective sons and talking and then at some point the
laptops facing eachother so we can see eachother, and then after that gets old
each family going into a different room (perhaps Ca at the computer desk,
the mackeys in the front room, and you in your bedroom, for example) and
everyone gets one on one family time. What do you think? I don't remember
anything about my sign ins and will probably just end up making another account
or something. At this point we're planning on spending the night at the senior
couple's house at their invitation, probably christmas night (your christmas
morning), so it should work out. (note: we did not do the Skype call this way :) )
Holy cow! Time to go. Hope that's everything. Love you. Sorry I didn't take
any pictures this week. Do you remember that picture that almost was my plaque
picture that got all doctored up? Could that be the christmas card picture or do
you want a new one? Theres not much christmassy here in podolsk and my big fur
hat is tucked away on the opposite side of moscow. Let me know
